These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, products, repair services, communications, and other services provided by Sonic Device Repair Inc. (“Sonic Device Repair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using our website, purchasing products or services, submitting a device for repair, requesting services, or otherwise doing business with Sonic Device Repair, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Sonic Device Repair provides electronic device repair, diagnostic, maintenance, sales, warranty-related, and related services.
Services may include repairs for Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment.
Certain services may be provided on behalf of schools, businesses, manufacturers, warranty administrators, protection-plan providers, or other organizations.
2. Repair Authorization
By submitting a device to Sonic Device Repair for diagnosis or repair, you represent that you are the owner of the device or are authorized by the owner or responsible organization to request service.
You authorize Sonic Device Repair to perform diagnostics, testing, disassembly, repair, component replacement, and other procedures reasonably necessary to evaluate or complete the requested service.
Certain repairs may require additional authorization before work is performed.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Repair estimates are based on the information available at the time of diagnosis.
Additional damage or problems may be discovered after a device is opened, tested, or repaired.
If additional work materially changes the quoted repair price, Sonic Device Repair may request additional authorization before completing the work.
Prices are subject to applicable taxes, shipping charges, parts costs, and other agreed-upon fees.
For business, school, warranty, or contracted customers, pricing may also be governed by a separate agreement, purchase order, service contract, or approved pricing schedule.
4. Parts
Repairs may involve new, refurbished, reclaimed, OEM, or compatible replacement parts depending on availability, customer requirements, contractual requirements, and the nature of the repair.
Replacement parts may differ cosmetically from the original component while providing substantially equivalent functionality.
Specific parts requirements may be established separately for school, business, manufacturer, or warranty customers.
5. Customer Data and Backups
Electronic devices may contain important or sensitive information.
Customers are responsible for backing up important information before submitting a device for service whenever reasonably possible.
Repair procedures, hardware failures, software problems, operating-system restoration, component replacement, or other circumstances may result in data loss.
Sonic Device Repair does not guarantee that information stored on a device will be preserved during diagnosis or repair.
Our handling of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Device Access
Certain repairs may require access to device functions for diagnosis, testing, or verification.
By submitting a device for repair, you authorize Sonic Device Repair to access device functions reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.
Our technicians are expected to access customer information only when reasonably necessary to diagnose, repair, test, or verify device functionality.
7. Repair Turnaround Times
Any repair completion or turnaround time provided by Sonic Device Repair is an estimate unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
Repair times may be affected by parts availability, shipping delays, device condition, manufacturer requirements, warranty authorization, customer approval, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8. Shipping
Customers may be responsible for shipping devices to Sonic Device Repair and for return shipping unless otherwise agreed.
Customers should package devices appropriately to prevent damage during transportation.
Risk associated with transportation may be governed by the applicable shipping carrier’s terms and any separate agreement between Sonic Device Repair and the customer.
9. Repair Warranty
Certain repairs may include a limited workmanship or parts warranty.
The applicable warranty period and coverage may be stated on the repair invoice, quotation, service agreement, or other documentation provided for the repair.
Unless otherwise stated, repair warranties generally apply only to the specific repair performed and do not cover unrelated failures, accidental damage, liquid damage occurring after repair, misuse, abuse, subsequent physical damage, unauthorized modification, or other problems unrelated to the original repair.
Warranty or protection-plan repairs performed on behalf of another company may be governed by that company’s applicable terms and coverage requirements.
10. Unclaimed Devices
Customers are responsible for responding to communications and retrieving devices after service has been completed.
Devices that remain unclaimed for an extended period may be subject to storage charges or other disposition procedures as permitted by applicable law.
Any handling or disposition of unclaimed property will be conducted in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Payment
Payment is due according to the terms stated on the applicable invoice, quotation, purchase order, contract, or other agreement.
Sonic Device Repair may require payment before releasing or shipping repaired devices unless different payment terms have been approved.
Business, school, and institutional customers with approved credit arrangements may be invoiced according to separately agreed payment terms.
12. Warranty and Protection Plan Claims
Sonic Device Repair may perform services for third-party warranty administrators, manufacturers, insurers, protection-plan providers, or service-contract companies.
Coverage decisions are generally made by the applicable warranty or protection-plan provider, not Sonic Device Repair.
Approval of a repair by Sonic Device Repair does not independently guarantee coverage under a third-party protection plan.
Customers should refer to their applicable warranty or protection-plan agreement for coverage terms, exclusions, deductibles, and claim requirements.
13. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By voluntarily providing your mobile telephone number and expressly opting in to receive text messages from Sonic Device Repair, you consent to receive text messages according to the consent you provided.

Third-party products and services may be subject to separate terms established by those providers.
Sonic Device Repair is not responsible for the independent acts, services, policies, or contractual obligations of third parties except to the extent required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sonic Device Repair will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of a device that you were not authorized to submit.
20. Privacy
Your use of our services is also subject to the Sonic Device Repair Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.
21. Business and School Agreements
Schools, school districts, businesses, warranty administrators, manufacturers, and other institutional customers may have separate written agreements with Sonic Device Repair.
If a separately executed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separately executed agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
22. Changes to These Terms
Sonic Device Repair may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, technologies, or applicable requirements.
Updated Terms will become effective when posted or on the effective date identified in the updated Terms, as permitted by applicable law.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or another jurisdiction’s law is required.
